Kefus

Kefus is a Metro Detroit DJ, producer, and selector whose work is rooted in the city’s deep electronic traditions. Known for digging into the vaults and delivering raw, warehouse-ready techno, he brings a collector’s ear and a dancer’s instinct to every set and production.

From 2011 to 2013 he hosted Library: A Trip into Kefus’s Record Vault, a live stream on 313live.org that became a destination for pure techno—classic Detroit cuts, harder warehouse energy, and the kind of deep crate work that rewards close listening. His more recent appearances, including mixes for Energy Pool Records recorded in the Modem Room Studios, continue that same approach: vinyl-focused, aggressive yet groovy, and unapologetically Detroit.

Kefus moves between underground techno, industrial edges, and the bounce that has always defined Motor City dancefloors. Whether spinning original material, remixes, or long-forgotten classics, his sets stay locked to the physical energy of the warehouse while carrying the historical weight of the city’s electronic lineage.
